The choir consists of a group of up to 65 male singers who come together to perform a wide range of choral music, including traditional Welsh hymns, popular songs, and contemporary compositions. Their members are drawn from various backgrounds and age groups, united by their love for singing and their commitment to maintaining the rich tradition of male voice choral singing in Wales.

As a registered charity (No 702473) their focus is not only on musical excellence but also engaging with the local community. In 2022 the choir followed Tom Jones on stage at the Principality stadium to open the Stereophonics “We’ll Keep a Welcome” homecoming concert in front of a crowd 75,000. Their commitment, talent, and contributions to Welsh music and the community have made them a respected and beloved institution within the Welsh choral music tradition.

Proceeds from this evening's concert will support Acorn Children's Hospice; a network of specialist palliative nursing care and support for local children and their families.

With Support from Cat Southall

Cat Southall is a Welsh solo artist, songwriter, and session singer from Aberdare, South Wales. Classically trained as an opera singer, her musical journey began with performances at chapel, school shows, Eisteddfodau, and recitals. Cat's early experiences laid a solid foundation for her versatile career. After college, she fronted her own band, where she truly discovered her stage persona and voice as a writer. This journey paved the way for her work as a session artist, setting the stage for an incredible musical journey.

Cat's resume speaks volumes with collaborations that include luminaries like Bastille, John Cale, Caroline Sheen, Katherine Jenkins, Leona Lewis and most famously her collaborations with Welsh icons the Manic Street Preachers, arranging and performing vocals for two of their chart-topping studio albums.

Cat has toured nationally and internationally as a front person, and her original music has earned her a place on the BBC Welsh A-List many times. Her single ‘Electric Lady’ from her solo album 'Popheart' earned praises from hosts Wynne Evans, Eleri Sion, Jason Mohammad and Behnaz Akhgar and her Welsh and Maori language single 'Ca Dy Ben!' has been selected for the BBC Radio Cymru playlist, and is played regularly on popular shows such as Bore Cothi, Caryl and Y Sioe Sadwrn.
