The Roses is throwing open its doors to its first FREE immersive film festival with an exciting line-up of free films and virtual reality (VR) games and experiences. All chosen by local 15-20-year-olds. In our Gaming Stage you'll find a series of console games to play in our studio cinema.

Headline Stage: Free Open Cinema

The free two-day film programme explores the use of technology and includes a diverse mix of American and Japanese films that navigate through AI, VR gaming, automation and machines. From the latest Hollywood blockbusters, to cinema classics and remarkable low-budget storytelling, all of our line-up has scored highly on IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes.

In addition, we’ll be showing Dune: Part Two — completely free for the first 30 under 25s to book.

VR Stage: Gaming and Experiences

From Bristol VR producer award-winning We Are Anagram and independent producers, festival-goers can immerse themselves in engaging VR experiences and interactive games.

Be someone else, explore a different place or perhaps even experience what it's like to be an animal!

Suitable for those aged 16 and above.
