Emily Hastings has been leading Acting Up! For the last eight years, her experience both onstage as an actor and behind the scenes as a Director has been crafted in educational settings, charities and through her own classes for young people and she has partnered with The Roses on several projects before.

She is a big advocate for creating welcoming and inclusive environments and has experience both professionally and personally of supporting young people with are neurodiverse. She is currently working with Active Impact to ensure her sessions are as accessible to a many people as they possibly can be.

‘Acting Up! is excited to be hosting another adult class in collaboration with the Roses Theatre in the Autumn term. During our seven weeks, we will develop devising skills, undertake teamwork endeavours and learn some new and exciting games, hopefully culminating in a short, improvised performance at the October AGM. Our main aims are having fun, trying something different and meeting new people.’
